Heather J. Seltzer

🇺🇸

CELTA + DELTA, Merit·Speaking examiner·Conversation·Business English

I've taught English as a second language for over ten years, in international contexts: as a teacher, senior teacher, director of studies, and teacher trainer, building curricula and training programs along the way. In Ecuador I worked with a government IELTS preparation program, helping students win places at universities abroad. I joined Signal in 2026.

In Argentina I've specialized in international exam preparation, business English, and conversation. My classes combine real-life tasks, collaborative work, and communicative practice: a warm, supportive room where you can take risks with the language and learn with confidence.

What I teach

Three things I'm built for.

If you've been studying for a while and feel stuck below the surface, these are the places I usually find the leak.

Conversation that holds a room (B2 and up)

Speaking in a group without freezing, asking for clarification without stepping on the speaker, telling a story that lands. Real-life tasks and collaborative work, light on grammar drills.

Business English for working adults

Meetings, presentations, the emails you actually send. We build from the tasks your week already contains, in plain English, with feedback that respects what you were trying to say.

Cambridge exam preparation

Structured practice in every paper: reading, writing, listening, speaking, and use of English. I've prepared students for international exams for a decade, including a government IELTS program in Ecuador.
